Step 5: Policy Details

You will notice Coverage Limits broken down into 3 categories: Accident Medical , General Liability and Abuse & Molestation Coverage. This is our starting coverage package for all groups. As you proceed in filling out the information requested in this section, (e.g. number of participants, different types of activities your group will participate in, and any extra coverage you may need) these limits will adjust accordingly and the plan overview will reflect these changes of your total premium cost.

  1. Policy Effective Dates - If this is your first time purchasing insurance, your coverage can begin immediately! Or, you may select an alternate date up to 90 days in advance. All policies are for a full 12 months from the start date.
  2. Group Membership Information -
    1. Participants age 3-18 – This is the where you will enter the current or anticipated enrollement for the policy term you are requesting. Children under 3 years old are not included in the Accident Medical Coverages. If these children attend with their parents, they remain the responsibility of the parent they attend with. (If needed, nursery coverage can be obtained by selecting nursery care in the section below.)
    2. Non-employee Teachers & Tutors - These individuals provide educational instruction for which there is no renumeration from your group.
    3. Volunteers - Volunteers are individuals not providing educational instruction and not receiving financial compensation from your group, but assist in covered educational activities.
  3. Nursery Care - Children under 3 years old are not included in the Accident Medical Coverages. If these children attend with their parents, they remain the responsibility of the parent they attend with. If nursery care will be provided for children, this coverage is needed.
  4. High-Risk Activities - Carefully read all the of the activities in the list and select any that your group will participate in and needs coverage for. If any of the activities on the list are selected, we will need to quote that for you separately. Your application will not be able to be completed until that quote has been processed. If none of those activities applies, select "Coverage is not needed for these activities."
  5. Premises Security - Select any security measures used at the location most used by your organization.
  6. Are you obligated to name any organization as an “additional insured?” - If you are obligated to name any entity as Additional Insured under your General Liability policy, complete this section. Typically this would be the church or facility where the group is meeting. These are only required if the venue is requesting it of you, otherwise they are not needed.
  7. Has the group or co-op had any claims (such as acccidents, injuries, or lawsuits), including any allegations of abuse in the past 5 years? - If not, or if this is a new group, select NO. If you have, select YES and enter the appropriate information.

    1. The policy automatically includes coverage for Abuse & Molestation with limits of $100,000 each incident, and $300,000 Aggregate. This is included with the rates shown on the right side. If you choose this option, then simply skip the Abuse and Molestation section.
    2. You may increase the coverage to $1,000,00 each/aggregate for an additional $350. If you select this option, you must also verify the three additional provisions shown on the screen. Note, this will increase the premium on the left side by $350.
  9. Umbrella Coverage
    1. Your policy includes General Liability Coverage of $1,000,000 each occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate. Umbrella insurance provides additional liability coverage above the General Liability limits on your policy.
    2. You may add a $1,000,000 Umbrella policy for total General Liability limits of $2,000,000 Each Occurrence and $4,000,000 Aggregate. The additional premium for a $1,000,000 Umbrella is $1,000. Note that the Umbrella policy excludes coverage for Abuse or Molestation.
